Native Voices 10-23-04  We discuss the importance of voting for Native people and non-Native people interested in Native causes.  We talk to Rev. Chebon Kernell, one of the organizers of the Rock the Native Vote concert held in Oklahoma this past June, about why he and his colleagues organized the event and why they feel it is important to vote. We encourage research about the candidates, and VOTE.  One great website about voting, especially the importance of the Native vote is at  www.nativevote.org  The site has information about the presidential candidates, including a questionnaire response from John Kerry about issues important in Indian Country.
