Randy Huffman, Host of Native Voices until June 16, 2007, is of Cherokee and Lenape descent and grew up in Southwestern Ohio. Although his relatives’ names appear on pages 151 and 284 of the 1906 Guion-Miller rolls, he is not a citizen of any Native Nation.Randy has worked with various organizations for Native Americans over the years, including the Sacred Run organization founded by Dennis Banks from 1994-2000 when it was headquartered in Newport, Kentucky. He is an advocate for Native peoples and issues and encourages truthful, accurate education about Native peoples and the elimination of race-based stereotypes. Randy views the Native Voices program as an opportunity to provide hard-to-find entertainment and education about Native peoples to both Native and non-Native people. Randy is a member of the Native American Journalists Association.

Alice Huffman, Producer and News Editor of Native Voices until June 16, 2007, is not Native American. She works closely with her husband, Randy, to assist him in his work and she is passionate about providing accurate information and the elimination of stereotypes, recognizing the harm done when non-Native children and adults are taught to stereotype others on the basis of race, ethnicity, culture, and religion. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Literature & Language from Northern Kentucky University and has taught composition and business writing classes at the University of Arizona and the University of Cincinnati. She has served in a variety of writing, editing, and communications positions, both as a professional, freelancer, and as a volunteer.
